Performances

Great lakes dance academy  presents two performance opportunities per dance year.

Fall Performance
The fall performance is usually  a full-length Ballet story. All ballet classes including our Creative
movement, Kinder dance, and Dance intro are invited to participate. On occasion, the
story allows for an added style such as acro, or tap and these classes are notified at
registration. It is assumed that all will participate. We ask that if you do not wish to
have your dancer participate, you notify our receptionist. GLDA provides all
costuming and accessories for fall performances through our extensive collection of
costumes. A $20.00 non-refundable deposit is applied to the costuming and accessories
that may be needed for each class participating.

Fall 2018 DECEMBER DANCES   December 8th @ 4:00 pm
This fall GLDA will be presenting an informal dance revue. Each class will be represented and the evening will be filled with demonstrations, awards, student choreography and much more!  Several workshops will be held for special performance choreography.  This will be a one day event called December Dances,

Spring Performance
Our spring student concert is comprised of ALL classes. Each class has a piece to
represent the work and progress they have made through out the year. The Show is
generally under 2 hours and is a fabulous family friendly presentation.

Costumes
Costumes for the Spring Performance are the responsibility of parents. As each class is represented, there
is a costume purchase required. If your child or children are taking multiple classes, you
will need to purchase multiple costumes. Costumes are ordered during the month of
February and must be pre paid. We endeavor to keep cost down. Sometimes it is
possible to order a two in one, costumes average $45.00-$60.00 per costume.
